Armored train No. 7 "Wabadus" (Freedom), which was built on the model of the armored trains in the Estonian War of Independence, is now open as a permanent exhibition at the Estonian War Museum in Viimsi Manor.
For the train, 50 meters of real railway with historic wooden sleepers were laid in the yard of the Viimsi Manor.
Estonian army was famous for its use of armoured trains in the War of Independence. To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Estonia and the Estonian War of Independence an armored train no. 7 "Wabadus" was built using historical photographs and documents. Estonian army operated six broad-gauge and five narrow-gauge armored trains in the War of Independence. Thus, "Wabadus" is not a copy of any historical train, but a completely new, 7th train.
Through 2019 the train run as a traveling exhibition along Estonian railways and even Latvia.
The train consists of an artillery wagon, a machine gun wagon, an assault wagon and a sanitary wagon. It can be visited with a Museum ticket during Museum opening times.
